A certificate is only worth what the assessment behind it is worth. This policy sets the standards that protect the meaning of an SCCP result, and the process that applies when those standards are questioned.
1. Scope
This policy applies to every learner and to all course activities, practice quizzes, labs, studios, and level exams.
2. Learner responsibilities
Work submitted in an assessment must be your own, produced under exam conditions.
One account per learner; accounts may not be shared or used by anyone else.
Assessment content and answers are confidential and must not be shared or sought out.
3. Permitted support while studying
While working through lessons, activities, labs, and practice quizzes, learners may use any study aid that supports understanding: notes, textbooks, colleagues, discussion, and general-purpose AI assistants used to explain a concept, rephrase an idea, or generate extra practice.
Practice quizzes exist to give feedback, not to certify. Using help there is not a violation.
4. Prohibited conduct during assessment
During a level exam, the following are prohibited:
using another person, in any form, to answer questions;
using an AI assistant, search engine, solver, or any external tool to obtain or check an answer;
consulting course material, notes, or other reference material unless expressly allowed;
copying, transcribing, screenshotting, photographing, recording, or otherwise reproducing exam content;
sharing or receiving exam questions, options, or answers before, during, or after an attempt;
impersonating another learner or allowing another person to sit an exam for you;
using multiple accounts, harvesting questions across accounts, or coordinating attempts with others;
bypassing timers, attempt limits, access controls, watermarking, or other platform protections.
5. The line between study and assessment
The distinction is simple: while learning, use whatever helps you understand; while being assessed, the result must reflect your own unaided judgement. If you are unsure whether something is allowed during an exam, treat it as prohibited and ask support before you start.
6. How concerns are detected
The Academy reviews attempt metadata, timing patterns, answer patterns, device and login signals, and reports received from learners or third parties. Automated signals raise a case for review; they never impose a sanction on their own.
7. Investigation process
1. A case is opened and the relevant records are preserved. Where the concern is serious, the affected result or certificate may be placed on hold while the case is reviewed.
2. The learner is notified in writing of the concern and the evidence relied on, unless notifying would prejudice an investigation into organised content extraction.
3. The learner is given a reasonable opportunity, normally 10 business days, to respond and provide an explanation.
4. A reviewer who is independent of the detection step decides on the balance of the evidence and records reasons.
5. The learner is notified of the decision, the sanction if any, and the appeal route.
8. Sanctions
Sanctions are proportionate to the seriousness of the conduct and may include:
a formal warning;
invalidation of the attempt, with or without a replacement attempt;
loss of remaining attempts on that exam;
suspension of access;
revocation of a certificate issued on the basis of the affected attempt;
permanent termination of the account.
Distribution or commercial exploitation of assessment content is treated as the most serious category and normally results in revocation and termination, and may also be pursued as a breach of the Terms of Use.
9. Appeals
A learner may appeal within 20 business days of the decision by emailing contact@sccp-academy.com with the case reference and the grounds for appeal.
Appeals are decided by a reviewer who was not involved in the original decision. Appeals may be made on the grounds that the process was not followed, that the evidence does not support the finding, that the sanction is disproportionate, or that new evidence is available.
The appeal outcome is issued in writing with reasons and is final within the Academy.
10. Reinstatement
Where an appeal succeeds, the attempt, access, or certificate is restored and the record is corrected. Where an attempt was invalidated in error, a replacement attempt is granted at no cost.
11. Reporting a concern
Suspected integrity violations, including leaked exam content, can be reported to contact@sccp-academy.com. Reports are treated confidentially.
